July 26 2007 the cousins meet!

They finally met each other!!

July 2007 -- My sister Colette came to visit with her 4 kids. They survived a difficult road trip all the way from Michigan. The kids were able to visit with their Grampa and Grama Lyons (whose cookies are legendary) and were able to meet their similar aged cousins, my 3 kids. They had a great time!!! They swam, played army, Webkins, made artwork, and went out for ice cream.

Pictures from a recent trip to the Farmer's Market... My friend sells flowers, fresh eggs, tea and herbs. I set up my bags and sundresses at her booth one week.

Besides fruits and vegetables, they also have meat, sheepskin, yarn, delicious baked goods, spinach pie, doll clothes, quilts and more!

Liam and Big Teddy

Big Teddy or "BBT", Big Bad Teddy was originally marketed as the 'Milennium Bear' at a major department store. He had a red knitted sweater with a heart on it. He was purchased by Jim's Aunt Maureen to be used as a decoration in her house. When she and Uncle Frank moved and downsized to a condo in 2005, they had a yard sale. She generously invited all her relatives to come early and have anything they liked. That was the day Liam first met Big Teddy.

Liam is a 6 year old collector of teddy bears. Since that day, Liam and Big Teddy have had many adventures. Since coming to live with us, Big Teddy has lost the red sweater (it unravelled) and gained a quasi-construction worker, lovable but mean big brother attitude. He has been known to pick fights with other stuffed animals in the house, and has even been accused of ingesting smaller teddy bears. Last week he crashed Liam's jeep.

We all love Big Teddy, you never know what he'll do next! I am planning a new shirt for him with a skull and crossbones with teddy ears. Liam loves it each night when we tuck him in with Big Teddy at night, he's so big and soft,"Goodnight Big Teddy." Big Teddy says,"You're squishing me kid, get off me."

meet Jade

My sister from Michigan visited, this is her adorable baby with James..

Summer!

Summertime and the weather is sweet. The kids are finally out of school. We have been having a blast in the pool and totally enjoying schedule-free days. I haven't been doing as much sewing and painting, it's too nice outside, but I'll always have a few projects going. Here is a customn order for the Baddana Bag I just finished.

So now it's June

Whoa, time flies when you're a grown-up. I guess it would be obvious that it's because we have so many more responsibilities. I just wasn't prepared for such a shortage of hours in my day! It probably also has something do with my time-management skills. Need to work on those!

Well the upside is that I can't remember what it's like to be bored.
I keep meaning to spend the 2.5 hours my kindergartener is away making a new painting. Today I'm wasting my time on the ol' computer! I think for 2007 I've been averaging one painting per month. The painting pictured was finished in May. Time to get going. OK I'm going. . now...ok bye

today

Today was a full day.

I attended a Memorial Day program in the town center, where my two oldest children performed music with their classes (they never once looked up and noticed me!! No mom points on that one I guess). It was a beautiful day. Not a cloud in the sky, and the perfect temperature.

My daughter is the redhead with the red and white skirt. Kind of a far-away shot I know!

It absolutely killed her to wear that skirt by the way..lets just say she's not really the girly type.

Later on I worked on my latest creation, a new bag/purse to sell on ETSY.

I decided to name it the Jenn purse after two of my friends named Jenn who recently visited me way the hell out here in the NH hills. --I hope they found their way home okay. Come to think of it I haven't heard from them..

Then I went to a tee-ball game for my youngest son. I met another mom there who bought a purse and a painting from me!

This is the painting..

This is the purse...

It was a great day!
